Golf Tournaments

Half Moon Bay hosts a number of open tournaments throughout the year, plus a full roster of Club Championships. Here’s a few to mark in your calendar, please check the Fixtures Calendar to confirm this year’s dates.

Volkswagen Scramble

We hold our main Volkswagen Scramble qualifier in May as the course starts to reach peak condition and our Championship season draws close. This is a 4-Person Ambrose event in a scramble format. There are always some great prizes up for grabs and the winning team(s) advance to the next round where they get a Pro on the team as well.

HMB Ray Howarth Memorial Open

Held over two days this is another tough stroke event, held when the North Qld weather and the Half Moon Bay course are both at their best. This also fills up fast so watch out for the announcement and nominate early.

Medal of Medals Play-off

All the  Lysaght Monthly Medal winners from throughout the year play off for the Medal of Medal trophy. This is played as the December Monthly Medal, so if you’ve had a medal win during the year you’ll be automatically entered… just turn up and play on the day!
